The Status Alias List

(Conventional Configuration)

HGDefinition.jpgKeyStoneButton.gif

The Status Alias List Table allows you to view or define Conventional Statuses. A radio-user Status can only be transmitted from a radio unit to a dispatcher (base unit). A radio-user Status makes more efficient use of a channel as compared to a voice transmission. This feature applies only when operating in Conventional communications mode.

The Status Alias must be set up identically (or with the same meaning) for the dispatcher and the radio units. That is, the Status 1 Alias from the dispatching unit must be identical (or have the same meaning) as the Status 1 Alias for the radio unit.

WFForward.png MDC, DVRS  and ASTRO Statuses are enabled individually on a per Conventional Systems basis from the Status field.

WFForward.png The Status feature can then be radio-user activated with a DotRed.png Status button-press, a DotRed.png Direct Status button-press, or a DotRed.png Status menu-selection (see also Status Number of Attempts and Status Auto Exit).
